Does MitReeder replace our contract?
No. MitReeder keeps shares, bookings and expenses — it is a group’s bookkeeping, not its contract. What you agree among yourselves stays between you.
How is an expense documented?
Every item carries its own receipt — invoice, receipt or till slip, photographed and tied to the line. MitReeder also keeps a change history: who entered or changed which amount, and when. At year end both appear in the statement, which then stays unchanged.
What happens when someone leaves?
Their share gets an end date; it is not deleted. Old accounts stay traceable — even years later, when somebody asks how it was calculated back then.
Does everyone have to use the app?
No. Everything works in the browser too. The app is for the moments when nobody is at a computer — in the harbour, on the way to the dock.
Who in the group may do what?
All co-owners see shares, bookings, expenses and accounts, and may book and enter expenses too. Assigning shares and administering the group is for whoever keeps the logbook. Crew without a share see none of it.
What if we cancel?
The service ends when the year runs out — bookings, expenses and accounts are then no longer available. You can download all your data beforehand, and the logbook stays unlocked.
What does it cost if there are five of us?
€149, the same as for any other group. With five members that is just under €34 each per year.
Where is our data kept?
On our own servers in Germany — inside the EU and therefore under the GDPR. Invoices and documents are not open on the web: they are reachable only through your login, not through a link that can be passed on.
